Job summary

CBIZ Talent Solutions seeks a Controller to lead and oversee the accounting and financial operations of a large manufacturing/CG organization with $500M+ in annual revenue, ensuring accurate GAAP reporting and robust internal controls.

The role drives month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis while advancing automation and data analytics. You will mentor staff in a hybrid work environment to support strategic business decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in accounting/finance or business administration.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
• Experience with large ERP systems.
• Experience in manufacturing/consumer goods is required.
• Experience leading technology, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, driving process improvements, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic business decisions. The Controller will play a key role in modernizing finance functions through automation, advanced analytics, and technology adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Month end close; oversee accurate GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial performance reporting.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including automation, process improvements, and data analytics.
• Oversee internal controls, risk management, compliance, audits, and tax coordination.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; advanced degree preferred.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of large ERP
• Large company Manufacturing and/or Consumer Goods experience required.
• Success leading technology, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.

Salary range: $180,000 - $200,000 plus 20% bonus opportunity
