Compensation: $170,000 - $220,000 + Bonus
Company Description
Our client, a company in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Corporate Controller to oversee accounting operations across multiple sites. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will manage a small team while providing oversight into a broader accounting organization and will play a critical role in strengthening financial infrastructure to support continued growth and future capital initiatives. The ideal candidate must have a manufacturing industry background and Assistant Controller level experience or above.

Responsibilities
- Direct all core accounting functions, including general ledger, cost accounting, payables/receivables, fixed assets, and payroll, through a small leadership team
- Own the consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across all entities and sites
- Deliver consolidated financial statements and executive level reporting packages
- Establish and enforce accounting policies and internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance company wide
- Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and banking relationships
- Oversee standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis in partnership with cost accounting staff
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning in coordination with executive leadership
- Analyze margins, costs, and profitability by product line, site, and customer to inform strategic decisions
- Build financial models and conduct analysis to support capital investment, expansion, and pricing decisions
- Benchmark performance across manufacturing locations to identify best practices and efficiencies
- Manage treasury functions, cash flow, and compliance with lending/credit requirements
- Oversee tax compliance and strategy in coordination with outside advisors
- Lead ERP and financial systems improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Mentor and develop accounting leadership, setting clear goals and growth paths
- Support M&A due diligence and other strategic projects as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 4 years at a managerial or controller level
- Manufacturing industry background is required
- Experience overseeing standard costing and inventory valuation in a manufacturing setting
- Proven experience managing external audit relationships and corporate tax compliance
- Advanced proficiency with ERP and financial reporting systems
