Job summary

E78 Talent is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting for a $2B multi-entity manufacturing organization in the Virginia Beach area. You will own month-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, audit management, and targeted process improvements with close collaboration to operations and executive leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting background, extensive US GAAP experience, CPA credentials, and a track record of building

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA required.
• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience in a multi-entity environment.
• ERP system experience required.
• Manufacturing or industrial industry experience preferred.
• Experience working within a global organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Oversee consolidations and intercompany accounting activities.
• Ensure balance sheet integrity through account reconciliations and review procedures.
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.
• Manage annual external audits and support compliance requirements.
• Drive accounting process improvements and systems initiatives.
• Partner with leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and mentor accounting team members.
