Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Control Room Operator to execute plant start-up and shutdown procedures, ensuring the facility meets its operational, environmental, and safety commitments while maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

You will guide Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators, monitor operations systems, read blueprints and P&IDs, and respond to alarms with immediate corrective actions. The role requires ASME QRO licensing within the first year and 12-hour rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam within first year.
• Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators to maintain a safe and efficient operation
• Effectively monitor Reworld operations systems and have strong working knowledge of boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations
• Experienced in reading blueprints, P&ID's, and schematic specifications
• Manage critical events and prioritize tasks for completion at times during emergency, providing clear directions in operational, safety and environmental tasks
• Respond to operational alarms, taking immediate corrective action
• Demonstrate solid understanding of operational best practices, including the ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that supports Covanta's safety and operational goals
