Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Control Room Operator to manage start-up and shutdown procedures and ensure operations meet environmental and safety commitments. You will guide crane, auxiliary, and back-plant operators, monitor systems, and respond to alarms with swift, safety-conscious actions.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of the ASME QRO provisional licensing within the first year, with 12-hour rotating shifts. Competitive pay plus benefits offered.

• ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam must be completed within the first year.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
• Effectively monitor Reworld operations systems and have strong working knowledge of boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations.
• Experienced in reading blueprints, P&ID's, and schematic specifications.
• Manage critical events and prioritize tasks for completion at times during emergency, providing clear directions in operational, safety and environmental tasks.
• Respond to operational alarms, taking immediate corrective action.
• Demonstrate solid understanding of operational best practices, including the ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that supports Covanta's safety and operational goals
