Job summary

American Global is seeking a Contractual Risk Manager to join our Infrastructure team, focusing on analyzing contractual risk across construction and infrastructure contracts including design-build and P3 projects. You’ll collaborate with legal, insurance, and surety professionals to assess exposures and develop practical risk transfer solutions.

The role supports client strategy and business development while growing expertise in construction risk, insurance, and surety.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent legal qualification required.
• Experience in construction/infrastructure law preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex contracts and identify exposures.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in contract negotiations by identifying exposures and advising on risk allocation.
• Develop risk management and insurance strategies for projects.
• Evaluate insurance coverages, exclusions, and limitations.
• Bridge between legal, construction, and insurance teams to mitigate risk.
