Job summary

Invenergy LLC, headquartered in Chicago, IL, seeks a Contracts Counsel to support its Legal Department in reviewing, negotiating and processing high-volume commercial contracts across the enterprise. The role emphasizes updating contract review processes and developing form agreements while leveraging AI tools for efficiency.

Qualifications

• JD required and active US bar license.
• 3–5 years of experience within a law firm, as an in-house counsel or contract manager.
• Experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on a variety of commercial agreements.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders under minimal supervision.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate a variety of standard commercial contracts, including confidentiality agreements, consulting contracts, services contracts, supply and vendor agreements, sale agreements and various other commercial arrangements.
• Maintain, update and manage the company’s contract template library.
• Collaborate with Legal Department to enhance contract review workflows, systems and processes, including the implementation and utilization of new products and AI solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to provide training and guidance on contract processes.
