Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a Contracts Specialist to review terms and conditions for division sales orders and supplier agreements. You will assess risk and ensure conformity with the Authority policy, collaborating with the Corporate Contracts Manager and in-house counsel.

You'll engage in negotiations with customers and suppliers when required and support improvements to policies and procedures while maintaining a professional company image.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, legal studies, or related discipline with 5+ years' experience in commercial contracts for international equipment/services sales.
• Advanced knowledge of contract language and interpretation.
• Strong consulting and negotiation skills for commercial terms with customers and suppliers.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP/CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Review contractual terms and conditions for division sales orders, sales and purchasing contracts.
• Perform risk analysis and propose actions to keep contracts within Authority policy.
• Work with Corporate Contracts Manager and in-house counsel as required.
• Participate in direct negotiations with customers and suppliers when requested.
• Review Red Books, requisitions, and purchase orders for the General Manager when requested.
• Provide training on contractual terms for sales and purchasing contracts.
• Provide recommendations to improve company policies and procedures.
• Support the positive, professional image of the company in dealings with customers and internal departments.
