Job summary

Financial Additions is seeking a Staff Accountant for a Q4 contract in Dallas, onsite, lasting 8-12 weeks to support year-end close and preparations for 2027. The role focuses on accounting activity, reconciliations, and close processes across multiple entities.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of staff or mid-level accounting experience, strong Excel skills, familiarity with SOX controls, and preferably experience in commercial real estate or development accounting, with MRI software a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of staff or mid-level accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with lookups, pivot tables and formulas.
• Familiarity with SOX/internal controls.
• Commercial real estate, property or development accounting experience preferred; MRI or similar software experience is a plus.
• College degree in accounting or finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and update accounting activity in open periods, researching and resolving items.
• Assist with year-end close, including reviewing closing entries and supporting documentation.
• Update and standardize recurring accounting schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting workpapers for 2027.
• Track and update bank reconciliations across multiple entities and accounts.
• Assist with 1099 year-end review and preparation, including vendor tax information.
• Review and update fixed asset schedules and CIP reconciliations.
• Maintain the Capital Call Master Workbook and assist with SOX controls and follow-up items.
• Update the Treasury Management Master Sheet and reconcile banking information.
