Role: Senior Accountant
Location: Dallas, TX
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Schedule: Monday through Friday, flexible start time
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 BOE
Role Summary
If you enjoy true accounting work – month‑end close, reconciliations, financial statements, and technical GAAP application – this is the role for you. A well‑established, privately held organization is seeking a strong accounting professional to support corporate and multi‑entity accounting operations. This position offers hands‑on responsibility, visibility to leadership, and long‑term growth potential.
This is not an FP&A or financial analyst role. It is a core accounting position designed for someone who wants to build depth and advance within accounting leadership over time.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting & Close
- Perform full‑cycle month‑end and year‑end close
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Produce GAAP‑based financial statements
- Conduct variance analysis and reporting support
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and reporting standards
Audit & Compliance
- Support external audit processes
- Assist with regulatory and statutory reporting requirements
- Participate in tax and compliance‑related reporting activities
Multi-Entity Support
- Manage accounting responsibilities for assigned business units
- Partner with accounting leadership on process improvements and special projects
- Provide financial reporting support to internal stakeholders
Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with full‑cycle close and financial statement preparation
- Audit exposure preferred
- CPA or CPA‑track an advantage (not required)
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with reconciliations and general ledger accounting
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- ERP system experience preferred
- High attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a structured environment
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Desire to grow within accounting leadership
