Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Senior Accountant in Dallas, TX to manage daily accounting activities and support month-end close. The role emphasizes accuracy of financial records, GAAP compliance, and collaboration with leadership on financial reporting and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 4–7+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics. CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 4-7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses for leadership.
