Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, purchasing, accounts payable or related support experience.
• Experience with financial management systems, ERP software or accounting applications.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial recordkeeping, procurement processes, purchase orders, invoices and account coding.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and related business applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Valid New Mexico Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Create and submit purchase requisitions, verify account coding and budget availability.
• Track requisitions through approvals, PO issuance, receiving, invoice review and payments.
• Reconcile goods/services with POs and vendor invoices; resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain procurement, accounting, contract and budget records in compliance with requirements.
• Prepare routine and ad hoc purchasing, expenditure, budget and financial reports for stakeholders.
• Support budget tracking, expenditure forecasting, audits, compliance reviews and year-end activities.
