Qualifications

• Requires phlebotomy certification as required by state
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and basic data/document handling

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and labeling of specimens
• Centrifuging specimens and maintaining accurate maintenance data
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage temperatures
• Follow protocols to maintain specimen integrity and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations
• Attend department trainings and assist with workflow improvements
