Job summary

Top Dog Recruiting is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Port Charlotte, FL, with a Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm schedule and a 3-month duration with potential for permanent placement. The position requires 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience and pediatric to geriatric patient exposure.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and handling of labeling, centrifugation, and specimen processing.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package and transport specimens maintaining integrity.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
