Essenti Talent is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contracted role in Port Charlotte, FL. The position covers blood draws, specimen processing, and patient communication, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

The assignment is initially three months with potential for permanent placement, and benefits are available. Responsibilities include collecting and labeling specimens, maintaining proper documentation, and ensuring specimen integrity for transport.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen handling.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens as required.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Match requisitions to specimen tubes and ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
• Attend annual department trainings.
