Confident Search Consultants in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3‑month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

The role supports pediatric to geriatric patients and requires 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, with benefits available. The primary duties include performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining accurate records, while ensuring OSHA/DEP compliance and quality in specimen

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
