Job summary

Accounting Search in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a qualified Phlebotomist for a contract role (3 months) with potential for permanent placement. Duties include performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and maintaining accurate patient records while following safety protocols.

The position requires 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, pediatric to geriatric proficiency, and certification. The schedule is Mon-Fri 7am–3:30pm; benefits are available.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience required.
• Pediatric to geriatric experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label/centrifuge/split specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage and temperature control.
