Job summary

Connectly Recruiting seeks a Phlebotomist for Colonial Heights, VA. Schedule: 7:45am-4:30pm, Monday–Friday. Contract role with potential for permanent placement and a 3-month projected duration. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and maintaining accurate lab data.

Ideal candidates will have venipuncture experience, a valid phlebotomy certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Benefits are available as part of the contract arrangement.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification (state-specific)
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab/hospital
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency; High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture; label and handle specimens
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain accurate lab records
• Update patient information and ensure specimen integrity during transport
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and document results per protocol
