Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role covering Montgomery County, MD. The position involves blood draws, specimen labeling, and handling transport and storage per protocol.

The candidate will work first shift, Mon–Fri, with hours 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm, with EOS 8am–12pm, and the duration is about 3 months with potential for permanent placement. The ideal candidate has a state phlebotomy certification, at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience, and proficiency with MS

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
