Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Shelby, NC. The position requires performing venipuncture, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining compliant procedures.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with potential for permanent placement based on performance and need. Minimum 6 months of venipuncture experience and a valid phlebotomy certification are required where applicable; a high school diploma or GED is also required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Phlebotomy certification required where applicable.
• High school diploma or GED required; proficiency with MS Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood draws; label and process specimens.
• Record maintenance data and decontaminate as required.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients; maintain specimen integrity.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and storage.
• Adhere to OSHA/DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
