Markent Personnel, Inc. seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement in Monroe, NY. The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and strict adherence to lab procedures and OSHA standards.

Schedule is Mon-Thu 8:00am-5:30pm, Fri 8:00am-1:00pm, with float location. Minimum qualifications include valid phlebotomy certification (state-specific), at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab, and HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Decontamination and updating patient information.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure correct labeling per test orders.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly to patients.
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA regulations
