Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed (as required in some states).
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab/hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture per physician orders.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens; record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly to patients and collect specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage and handling.
