Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners in Monroe, NY is seeking a contract Phlebotomist for a 3-month assignment with potential for permanency. The role includes blood draws, labeling, specimen handling, and data entry, with hours Mon-Thu 8:00am-5:30pm and Fri 8:00am-1:00pm.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Matches requisition forms to specimen tubes and labels correctly.
• Packages specimens for transport and ensures proper temperature storage.
• Complies with OSHA regulations and attends department trainings.
