Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED minimum; two years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate and update patient information as required.
• Explain venipuncture process to patients in a courteous manner.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling.
