Job summary

Markent Personnel in Cumming, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist (5818) for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. The shift is 7:15am to 4:15pm, Monday through Friday, with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED minimum 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly to patients and demonstrate technique with needles.
• Match lab requisition forms to tubes, label, centrifuge, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity during handling.
