Job summary

Soap Creek Resources is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Cumming, GA. The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, and data maintenance within a fast-paced lab environment.

You will perform venipuncture, prepare specimens, and ensure proper documentation while adhering to OSHA and lab protocols. The schedule is 7:15am–4:15pm, Monday–Friday, with potential for permanent placement based on performance.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Understand physician orders and match requisition forms to specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check test requisitions against script to ensure 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store specimens according to protocol.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
