Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting in Colonial Heights, VA seeks a contract Phlebotomist for a 3-month assignment with potential for permanent hire. Schedule is 7:45am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, in a fast-paced lab environment focused on blood draws and specimen handling.

The role requires venipuncture experience, proper labeling, and compliance with OSHA/DEP regulations. Minimal qualifications include a phlebotomy certification and 6 months of relevant lab experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain records of maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure sample integrity.
• Ensure OSHA and DEP regulations are followed.
• Answer calls and report results as needed.
