Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Farmville, VA. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with an initial duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement. Requires at least 2 years of experience and hands-on skills with hard sticks, pediatrics, and straight needles.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Update patient information and ensure proper packaging for transport.
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly to patients and demonstrate technique with needles.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend department trainings.
