KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Colonial Heights, VA. Schedule: 7:45am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Projected duration: 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, data entry, and ensuring specimen integrity per protocol. Requires at least 6 months of venipuncture experience and a valid state phlebotomy certification.

Qualificações

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months’ work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data recording procedures.
• Understand and follow OSHA and DEP regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain in a clear but courteous manner the venipuncture process and other specimen collection as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles and follow physician orders.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, and freeze as required by the test order.
