Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Phlebotomist in Saint Petersburg, FL. The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and handling specimens according to protocol. Schedule is Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm under a contract with potential for permanent hire.

Responsibilities include accurate data recording, patient interaction, and adherence to OSHA/DEP regulations. Requires valid phlebotomy certification and 6 months of venipuncture experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required by state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic data recording.

Responsabilités

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance data.
• Package and store specimens per protocol and transport requirements.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly to patients and obtain proper consent.
• Ensure specimens and requisitions match, and maintain accurate patient information.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend department trainings.
