Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC seeks a Phlebotomist in Anchorage to perform venipuncture, label and process specimens, and support lab operations. The role requires strong attention to detail, patient communication, and compliance with safety protocols.

The position is contract-based with a potential for permanent placement and benefits. Schedule is typically 8AM–5PM, Monday to Friday, in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain data records.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure accuracy.
