Job summary

Candidates must hold a valid phlebotomy certification for the state, have at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously as required.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure correct labeling and temperature control.
