Job summary

KOMPAN U.S. in Austin, Texas seeks an Accounts Receivable Specialist to ensure accurate, timely invoicing and compliant collections.

You will oversee contract billing, process AIA and progress billings, interpret contract terms, and maintain accounts receivable records, partnering with Operations to support revenue recognition. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and organized, with strong communication skills to collaborate with Finance, Operations and customers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in accounts receivable or contract billing.
• Experience with AIA billing and retainage is preferred.
• Ability to read contract terms and translate to billing.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition and AR processes.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience.
• Detail-oriented with accurate recordkeeping.
• Clear communication and cross-team collaboration.
• Associate or bachelor's in Accounting/Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract billing compliance and ensure invoices meet requirements.
• Process AIA and progress billings on schedule.
• Interpret contract terms and schedules of values.
• Coordinate with Operations on project status and milestones.
• Maintain AR records including invoices, payments, and adjustments.
• Review AR reports and assist with month-end close.
• Monitor aging and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
• Support audits and revenue recognition documentation.
• Provide updates to Controller and leadership on billing status.
• Assist with process improvements and finance projects.
