Job summary

Apache Industrial Services is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist I to support the Accounts Receivable Supervisor with billing, invoicing, cash application and collections. This in-office role handles high-volume billing across various contracts and collaborates with internal teams and customers to resolve billing questions.

The position requires 1+ year in AR/billing, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Dynamics SL.

Qualifications

• 1+ years accounts receivable, billing, or accounting experience
• Experience with high-volume invoicing or data entry with high accuracy
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon)
• Experience in engineering and construction industry accounts receivable/billing

Responsibilities

• Billing and invoicing for assigned regions.
• Review contracts, purchase orders, and service agreements to confirm billing terms before invoicing.
• Monitor invoice requests and track project status to identify work ready to bill.
• Apply cost components (time, materials, labor) to ensure accurate billing.
• Generate invoices, credit memos, and debit memos per customer requirements.
• Cash application and collections, recording receipts in accounting system.
• Monitor AR aging and assist with unapplied payments and payment issues.
• Post daily and weekly revenue and assist month-end close.
• Maintain customer accounts with credit review information and TIN validation.
• Follow AR procedures and suggest process improvements.
