Job summary

KOMPAN U.S. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Austin, TX to manage contract billing, AIA and progress billings, and AR records. You will interpret contract terms and partner with Operations to ensure proper revenue recognition, while resolving billing issues across teams.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to communicate clearly with Finance, Operations, and leadership. This role is based in Austin, with exposure to our global finance processes.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in accounts receivable, contract billing, or construction accounting.
• Experience with AIA billing, progress billing, schedules of values, and retainage.
• Ability to read contract terms and translate into accurate billing documentation.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems.
• High attention to detail and ability to collaborate across Finance and Operations.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Accounting/Finance/Business preferred; relevant experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract billing compliance and ensure invoices meet requirements.
• Prepare and process AIA and other progress billings on schedule.
• Review contract terms, schedules of values, retainage, and supporting docs.
• Collaborate with Operations and leadership on project status and revenue recognition.
• Maintain AR records by recording invoices, payments, and adjustments.
• Monitor aging, resolve discrepancies, and support month-end close.
• Provide updates on billing status and risk to Controller and leadership.
• Assist with process improvements and other Finance duties.
