Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist for a temporary contract in California. This onsite role covers maternity leave with responsibilities including AP/AR processing and day-to-day accounting tasks.

The candidate will perform PO matching, vendor payment processing, and month-end activities while ensuring accuracy and timely communication with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience required.
• Three-way PO matching experience.
• Accounts Receivable and collections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process, review, and verify vendor invoices.
• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
• Prepare and process weekly payment proposals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
• Support collections efforts on selected customer accounts.
• Respond to customer and vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Provide invoice copies and account information as needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
