Job description

Position Overview

The Parking Management, Facilities, and Capital Projects Unit manages the City’s municipal parking infrastructure, including 8 multi-level garages and 30 parking fields. Responsibilities include structural inspections, capital projects, contract administration, and sustainability initiatives. We seek a motivated Staff Analyst Level 2 to support operational and procurement activities, working closely with engineers, inspectors, and garage operators.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support contract administration by tracking milestones, deliverables, and compliance.
  2. Coordinate work orders, documentation, and invoice processing with internal units and garage operators.
  3. Assist in monitoring and reporting on garage operator contracts.
  4. Prepare procurement documents for engineering materials and EV charging stations, including bid analysis and specifications review.
  5. Maintain procurement tracking databases and support inventory control.
  6. Assist with administrative functions such as budget documentation and personnel matters.
  7. Participate in data entry, validation, and document control for field operations and sustainability projects.
Work Details

Location: 34-02 Queens Blvd, LIC NY 11101

Hours: 35 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm

Additional Info: Remote work up to 2 days/week possible under City and DC37 agreement.

Additional Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Options include a master's degree in relevant fields, or a combination of education and experience as detailed in the original description. Candidates must meet at least the high school diploma requirement.

  • Familiarity with procurement systems like FMS or Passport (a plus)
