Job summary

SCAMHC in Andalusia, AL seeks a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Coordinator to support evaluation, monitoring, and improvement of behavioral health services within a CC BCHC model. You will partner with leadership, clinical teams, and staff to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and promote integrated, person-centered care.

Responsibilities include data collection and analysis, CQI initiatives, reporting, audits, and ensuring compliance with CCBHC and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, behavioral health, business administration, data management, or a related field preferred
• Experience in quality improvement, healthcare, behavioral health, data management, compliance, or a related area preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to accuracy and detail

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities across programs and services within the CCBHC care model
• Collect, monitor, organize, and analyze clinical, operational, and performance data to identify trends, outcomes, and opportunities for improvement
• Assist with monitoring CCBHC quality measures, performance indicators, access standards, and other required program outcomes
• Collaborate with program directors, clinical staff, and leadership to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
• Track progress toward established goals and assist programs with developing corrective actions or improvement strategies when needed
• Prepare reports, summaries, dashboards, and other materials to communicate quality and performance information to leadership and program staff
• Support audits, chart reviews, documentation monitoring, and other quality assurance activities
• Maintain accurate records and documentation necessary for CCBHC, Alabama Department of Mental Health, grant, accreditation, and other applicable reporting requirements
• Assist with evaluating consumer outcomes, access to services, continuity of care, and overall program effectiveness
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by helping staff use data and performance information to strengthen service delivery and consumer outcomes
• Stay informed of CCBHC requirements, quality standards, and best practices related to behavioral health performance improvement

Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Coordinator to join our team. This position operates within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model and supports the ongoing evaluation, monitoring, and improvement of behavioral health services across the Center. The CQI Coordinator works collaboratively with leadership, clinical teams, and program staff to monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, support quality initiatives, and promote high-quality, person-centered, integrated care.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, behavioral health, business administration, data management, or a related field preferred

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate program and performance data

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic health records, databases, and other data management systems preferred

Requirements

Must have High School Diploma or GED with solid computer skills and one year or paid or volunteer experience in community health, medical records, call-center patient support or quality assurance work.

ALL candidates must be able to type and have basic computer skills, possess a valid driver’s license, eligibility for coverage under center liability insurance and individually held vehicle liability insurance with a clear background check.
