Job summary

• Follow appropriate food handling, health, safety, and agency standards
• Assist with food storage, supply organization, and inventory monitoring
• Coordinate with Crisis Services staff regarding meal schedules, dietary needs, and daily food service operations
• Maintain a safe and orderly kitchen environment appropriate for a behavioral health crisis setting
• Work independently and collaboratively with staff to support efficient 24/7 crisis services operations
• Contribute to a welcoming, supportive, and recovery-focused environment that promotes consumer comfort, wellness, and stabilization within the CCBHC crisis care model

Position Overview

This position supports services provided within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model by preparing meals and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming kitchen environment for individuals receiving crisis stabilization and behavioral health services. Work within a behavioral health Crisis Services setting providing meal preparation and kitchen support for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. This position contributes to a safe, structured, and supportive environment while helping meet the daily nutritional and wellness needs of individuals receiving crisis stabilization services.

Requirements

ALL candidates must be able to type and have basic computer skills, possess a valid AL driver’s license, eligibility for coverage under center liability insurance and individually held vehicle liability insurance with a clear background check.
