Responsibilities

Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our team. This position operates within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model and focuses on providing timely mental health and substance use assessments, crisis intervention, and treatment planning for individuals seeking behavioral health services. The Therapist will assist with identifying appropriate levels of care and connecting consumers with services that support stabilization, recovery, and continuity of care. Part-time and full-time positions are available.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, mental health, or another behavioral health-related field

• Knowledge of person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused behavioral health practices preferred

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive mental health and substance use assessments for individuals seeking behavioral health services
• Complete initial intakes and develop individualized, person-centered treatment plans
• Assess clinical needs and assist in determining appropriate services and levels of care
• Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and conflict resolution as appropriate
• Conduct assessments and facilitate referrals for individuals who may require inpatient psychiatric treatment
• Collaborate with therapists, psychiatric providers, nurses, care coordinators, peer support specialists, crisis staff, and other professionals to promote integrated care within the CCBHC care model
• Coordinate referrals and connections to appropriate mental health, substance use, crisis, medical, and community-based services
• Offer consultation and educational services to community agencies, professionals, and the general public
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with agency standards, regulatory requirements, and CCBHC guidelines
• Promote timely access to care, continuity of services, and recovery-focused treatment for individuals with mental health and substance use needs

Work directly with individuals seeking mental health and substance use services in a behavioral health setting. Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff and community providers to support timely assessment, crisis stabilization, appropriate referrals, and connection to ongoing care.

Requirements

ALL candidates must be able to type and have basic computer skills, possess a valid AL driver's license, eligibility for coverage under center liability insurance and individually held vehicle liability insurance with a clear background check.
