Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an on-site Continuous Improvement Engineer within our Supply Chain Solutions division.

The role emphasizes data-driven CI, Lean tools, and process optimization across operations, with focus on safety, quality, delivery and cost. Candidates should have experience with slotting, 5S, Kaizen, and data analytics (SQL, PowerBI) and familiarity with Manhattan SCALE WMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 3+ years in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing (MBA with undergrad engineering acceptable).
• 3+ years related experience in the Warehousing/Transportation/Manufacturing sectors.
• Microsoft Office with Access, Excel, PowerPoint; VisioAdvanced.
• Data visualization (PowerBI/Tableau) and SQL data analysis preferred.
• Lean/TPS tools knowledge (5S, standard work, visual management) and CI fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps.
• Leads CI and engineering projects; supports automation initiatives and interacts with operations.
• Develops transformation plans and executes Kaizen events to drive measurable gains.
• Applies lean and quality tools to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Provides regular progress reports and recommends supply chain strategies.
