Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Container Welder/Fabricator in Billings, MT to repair, weld, and paint containers and roll-off boxes. The role requires welding certification and experience with MIG/ARC, plasma cutter, and airless paint sprayers.

You will fabricate parts, install lids and wheels, and ensure safety standards are met. The position is union-based with benefits and a starting wage of $22.18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Certified welder with ability to weld steel and aluminum.
• Advanced knowledge of MIG & ARC welders, plasma cutter, and airless paint sprayers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintenance on front, rear and roll-off containers.
• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricate steel components using a brake and shear.
• Cut steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricate components for hoppers, containers and compactors.
• Install lids and wheels on containers.
• Paint repaired containers.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Install company and safety decals on containers and roll-off boxes.
• Refer complex repairs to Supervisor.
