Job summary

YS Buildings LLC in Los Angeles is seeking a Construction Bookkeeper to maintain construction budgets, record journal entries, and manage A/P and A/R on-site.

You will use QuickBooks Desktop, coordinate with project managers and subcontractors, and ensure payroll and tax compliance. This full-time on-site role requires attention to detail and strong analytical skills in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping within the construction industry is required.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and finance management.
• Ability to record Journal Entries, accounts payable, assist in payroll reviews and other vendor related items.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level organizational and multitasking abilities and attention to detail and accuracy.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience in commercial construction billing, retention, and conditional waivers.

Responsibilities

• Budget management for project budgets.
• Track project costs including labor, materials, and other expenses.
• Process invoices, track payments, and resolve invoice issues.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and other reports to track financial performance.
• Ensure accurate and timely tax filings, including sales tax and other relevant taxes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure accurate financial information.
