Job summary

WKS Restaurant Group is seeking a Construction Bookkeeper/Project Administrator to oversee job costing, AP/AR, and reporting for restaurant remodels and new builds. You will handle GL postings, invoicing, timecard reconciliation, and project administration in a fast-paced construction environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction accounting, proficiency with Excel/Project, and strong communication in English (Spanish a plus).

Qualifications

• Construction accounting and job costing experience - min 5 years (preferred).
• Experience in full cycle accounting for construction industries including job costing, bookkeeping, etc - min 5 years (preferred).
• Knowledge of basic construction practices and procedures.
• Possess excellent communication skills, both orally and written.
• Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for project job costing all costs and general ledger postings.
• Manage AR and AP including monthly overhead costs, credit card expenses, subcontractor invoice processing, verify and process billings, track AR aging, posting payments, etc.
• Contact customers to obtain, verify, and update account information when necessary.
• Keep financial records updated, month end close, and reconciling bank statements, preparing P&L reports.
• Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies. Perform insurance policy audits and review releases for subcontractors and prime contracts.
• Provide administrative support and assist in the day-to-day operations of the Construction team.
• Process purchase orders.
• Manage employee timecards.
