Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP in Omaha, NE, seeks a Consumer Finance Litigation Associate to join its Financial Services & Capital Markets practice. The role is based in Omaha but candidates are considered for all U.S. offices, including the virtual link.

Responsibilities include defending clients in consumer‑finance disputes and handling foreclosures, title issues, and related matters. Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of relevant litigation experience, strong knowledge of consumer-protection

Qualifications

3–5 years of relevant litigation experience (preferred).
Experience defending financial-services companies in state and federal courts.
Working knowledge of FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA and related consumer-protection statutes.
Experience with mortgage servicers/originators in contested foreclosures, quiet-title, title disputes, etc.
Active bar license in the state of the office applied to (or willingness to obtain one promptly).
For virtual-office applicants, bar license in the state of residence.

Responsibilities

Defend financial-services clients in state and federal consumer-finance litigation.
Handle cases involving FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA, and related statutes.
Represent mortgage servicers/originators in contested foreclosures, quiet-title actions, and title disputes.
Collaborate with attorneys in the Financial Services & Capital Markets unit.
Manage multiple projects, develop legal strategies, and communicate actionable recommendations.
