Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Broadview, IL is seeking a Full-time Sales Associate to drive B2B relationships and promote our inventory management solutions. The role is based at 2427 Braga Dr, Broadview, IL 60155, with duties centered on consultative selling and branch success.

You will develop new and existing customer partnerships, respond to service needs, and conduct local sales calls using a company vehicle. Base pay ranges from $39,000 to $45,000, with eligibility for bonus and/or commission.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work.
• Driver's license from the location country and ability to meet vehicle use requirements.
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field OR relevant work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills and aptitude for sales
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
• Strong math, attention to detail, organization and prioritization abilities
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision making abilities
• Align with core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing 25–50 lbs (up to 75 lbs)
• Pass the required drug screen (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Support B2B sales and customer service activities
• Provide value through a consultative sales approach
• Develop new and grow existing relationships from leads, referrals and prospecting
• Coordinate resources to respond to customer service needs
• Perform local sales calls and drive a company vehicle to customer sites
• Perform other duties as needed to ensure branch success
