Job summary

BHS Construction is seeking a Training & Development Manager to design, implement, and lead training programs for field and office staff. You will ensure adherence to safety standards, project workflows, and corporate practices while driving operational excellence.

The role bridges leadership, field operations, and project management, coordinating with external providers and internal teams. Strong communication, coaching, and travel to job sites are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction or related field.
• 3–5 years of training and development experience, with leadership preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification and CPTD certification.
• Strong understanding of field operations, project management, and safety practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Able to teach and coach employees at all levels; travel to multiple sites.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Litmos).

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage training and coaching programs for field and office staff.
• Coordinate training of software tools including project management, scheduling, accounting, estimating, document control.
• Ensure OSHA safety compliance and coordinate external continuing education.
• Standardize workflows and create user guides and training materials.
• Maintain the RDR Matrix and align with company goals.
• Gather feedback and conduct yearly program reviews.
• Lead leadership development programs and identify top performers.
• Travel between jobsites and offices to deliver training.
• Monitor KPI progress and participate in audits.
