Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 3–5 years of underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of products, regulatory environment, and local market conditions.

• Excellent negotiation and communication with agents and brokers.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk.
• Execute underwriting strategies to meet profit and growth objectives.
• Build relationships with internal partners to identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market Travelers’ products and write new business.
• Travel to meetings as required.
• Develop agency sales plans aligned with team goals.
