Job summary

ZipApply is seeking a Construction Staff Accountant to support day-to-day construction accounting, including job costing, vendor compliance, and financial accuracy. The role offers growth toward month-end close, financial reporting, and leadership within the accounting team.

A bachelor’s degree and 2–5+ years in construction accounting are preferred, with experience in COIs and lien waivers valued. Strong analytical and organizational skills, plus collaboration with PMs and leadership, will help

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 2–5+ years of accounting experience, construction-focused.
• Construction accounting experience required.
• Experience with COIs, lien waivers, and vendor documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process construction invoices and maintain accurate records.
• Perform job costing and project cost tracking.
• Manage construction accounts payable and vendor relationships.
• Review COIs, lien waivers, and vendor documentation.
• Support month-end close and general ledger activities.
• Assist with Procore implementation and optimization.
• Collaborate with project managers and accounting leadership.
• Take on expanded accounting responsibilities as the role evolves.
