Job summary

ZipApply is seeking a Senior Construction Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing commercial construction team in Suwanee, GA. This in-office role focuses on project accounting, job costing, vendor compliance, and strong collaboration with project managers and leadership.

You’ll oversee construction accounts payable, assist with month-end close, and help optimize Procore and related systems, with clear path toward leadership within the accounting department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 2–7+ years of accounting experience, specifically in construction.
• Construction accounting experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, project accounting, COIs, lien waivers.
• Experience with Procore and QuickBooks Enterprise is a plus.
• Stable employment history and desire to grow into leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction accounting across multiple projects.
• Process construction invoices and maintain accurate records.
• Perform job cost coding and monitor project costs.
• Administer construction accounts payable and vendor payments.
• Review COIs, lien waivers, and vendor compliance documents.
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger.
• Assist with project accounting and financial reporting.
• Assist with Procore implementation and optimization.
• Coordinate with project managers and accounting leadership for accuracy.
• Take on expanded responsibilities with growth into leadership.
